It is with deep sadness that ICDT has learnt about the passing of former US Ambassador to Hungary Mark Palmer. As a member of ICDT’s International Board and a key figure in the Centre’s foundation, we mourn the loss of an outstanding personality, a champion of the global struggle for human rights and a long-time friend of Hungary who played a highly visible role during the democratic transition. The mentor of several generations of Hungarian democrats will be greatly missed by all.
