ICDT representatives attended the 7th Ministerial Meeting of the Community of Democracies (CoD) along with more than 1200 registered participants in Ulaan Baatar, Mongolia, between April 27-29. They presented the lessons learned of ICDT’s project „Supporting the Activities of the Community of Democracies and its Task Force on Moldova” and also shared the Centre’s experience in various fields. The efforts and support provided by Hungary and ICDT along with other members of the Working Group on Moldova and Tunisia were highly appreciated by the Permanent Secretariat and the Presidency of the CoD.

The conference was dedicated to overcome the challenges posed by corruption of the state and the inequality of women within the society. As a concluding momentum of the conference, the Ulaan Baatar Declaration was adopted expressing strong commitment to provide answers for the above mentioned problems. The Ministerial Conference was not only an official termination of the Mongolian Presidency, but also the official beginning of the El Salvador Presidency with a mandate until 2015.
