As a supporting partner of the Belgrade Fund for Political Excellence (BFPE), the ICDT has organized a 2 day-long study trip for a Western Balkans delegation between 6-8 October. The visit in Budapest was the first part of the one week-long study tour with the purpose of presenting several aspects of the Visegrad Group cooperation model to MPs of Westen Balkan countries.
On behalf of the Hungarian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Central European Initiative (CEI) National Coordinator, Mrs. Edit Szilágyiné Bátorfi held a presentation about the current program of the Hungarian presidency of the V4 group. As an acknowledged expert of the Western Balkans region, Ambassador István Gyarmati gave his personal insights on the integration perspectives of the region, and also from ICDT, Ms. Annamária Kékesi spoke about the development and grant opportunities available for these countries. As a concluding event of the study tour, the guests joined a Foreign Affairs Committee session in the Hungarian Parliament, where they could address their questions about the parliamentary work within the V4 group.
