Under one of ICDT’s most recent flagship project titled the "Democratic Consciousness in C-E Europe-Identity and Differences between the V4 countries and Ukraine" a kick-off workshop was held in Kyiv, on April 16, 2014. The event in general focused on the the discussion of the conception, the scientific methods of the future investigations and the opinion poll and the schedule of the project activies, while the GfK Hungary’s delegates introduced the results and conclusions of the conducted desk research.

Ms. Irina Bekeshkina, The Director of the Ilko Kucheriv Democratic Initiatives Foundation in Kyiv made a presentation on previous research, studies in sociology and political science conducted on the perception of democratic values and democratic consciousness in Ukraine from 1991 until now on. Eventually, based on the received feedbacks and the findings acquired during the discussion the participants elaborated recommendations for the future implementation.
