Amb. Istvan Gyarmati was recently made Chairman of the UN Secretary General Advisory Committee on Disarmament having sat on the board for several years. Amb. Gyarmati has been the President of the ICDT since 2005. Amongst his many other responsibilities, he will now also be advising the Secretary- General on matters within the area of arms limitation and disarmament,  as well as leading the UN Disarmament Information Programme. We are all very proud of our President for attaining this extremely prestigious role, and we wish him the best of luck for all his future endeavours.
