The Hungarian delegation, headed by Mr. Zsolt Németh, President of the Foreign Affairs Committee of the Hungarian National Assembly conducted the first scoping trip of the project titled "Strengthening the Institutional Capacity of the Lao National Assembly".

As a result of the roundtable discussions and presentations held in the Parliamentary Learning Centre of the Lao National Assembly, the Hungarian side had the opportunity to have a better insight on the exact needs of the Lao side, that could be adjusted to the envisioned goals of the project. The end result - a comprehensive handbook for parliamentarians - not only fits into the development strategies of the Lao National Assembly, but it also provides an excellent basis of support for the new parliamentarians after the elections of 2016.
