The project aims to create the foundation for Ukraine’s energy sector institutional reform for deepening its integration into the EU energy market. By convening local and V4 energy security experts, it will create the preconditions for establishing a modern market-oriented institutional structure meeting the requirements of the Treaty on the Functioning of the European Union, the Treaty Establishing the Energy Community and the EU Energy Package criteria 2 and 3. In order to achieve this goal, the Project will study the V4 reforming experience by expertise exchange and exposure to good practices, and elaborate a set of recommendations per sub-sectors on how to reform the institutional framework of Ukraine's energy sector in line with EU standards and criteria. At the end of the initiative, research findings of the project will be presented to key Ukrainian stakeholders in Kyiv, September 2016.
