BRD-NET: Transfer of Visegrad Experience in Regional Development to Black Sea EaP Countries – Partnership

Lead Organization

The leader of the project is the Bakhchisaray Regional Development Centre "Top-Kaya". The project is supported by the International Visegrad Fund.

Objectives

The project’s aim is to strengthen the capacity of NGOs and local experts, and their ability to attract EU expertise and funding for regional development, and to improve synergies between the third sector’s and local governments' initiatives in the Black Sea EaP countries. As a result, a network will be established for better promotion, development and increased capacity for member institutions, organizations and local governments of the region.

Background

The institutions involved in this project as beneficiaries slightly lag behind, compared to countries that have already experienced a deeper level of EU integration. In order to foster a thorough, comprehensive integration, it is essential to establish a successful model for the Black Sea region as well. More specifically, to provide best practices and advocacy for a better attraction and utilization of funds and investments for the region.

Project Description

By tapping into the experience of Visegrad countries, the project will conduct online and offline training, foster partner dialogues and networking, and organize cross-border and cross-sector exchange and knowledge sharing. Through the project sessions not only a comprehensive interregional development landscape will be presented about the region, but the intraregional aspect will be reinforced as well.
