In his paper, Michael C. Zeller provides an interesting comparison of countries affected by the color revolutions (Georgia, Ukraine and Belarus) to reveal if those sudden events had any effect on democracy development of the respective countries. The basis of the longitudinal examination is the collective measurement of certain democracy indexes worldwide, marking the revolutionary moments on each scale. The author argues that despite the promising start, the color revolutions did not cause a significant boost of democratization efforts of the countries examined.
